Japanese Master Demonstrates the Power of Chi by Controlling Animals

Japanese Master Demonstrates the Power of Chi by Controlling Animals

Chi Power

We too often take it for granted that human beings only have five senses, and whenever something cannot be immediately explained within the framework of modern science, we tend to brush it off as an anomaly, or an oddity.

“I exchange energy with the animals, and then they go to sleep.”
- Master Kanzawa Sensei

For thousands of years practitioners of eastern martial and meditative arts have been attuned to the subtle presence of chi, the life force energy that animates all living things. Masters of the cultivation and use of this energy have forever been able to perform remarkable feats of concentration, longevity and strength, yet we in the West are have always been reluctant to credit them for their mastery of something we cannot even grasp… that there is a subtle energy that connects all living things.

Qigong is the practice of cultivating the energy, and Japanese chi master, Kanzawa Sensei is known for his ability to control animals with the power of his mind and chi, a rare and extraordinary example of the powers of Qigong. By standing near animals, concentrating his mind, and manipulating chi with his hands, he has demonstrated that he can calm, entrance, and even put to sleep many animals, including buffalo, elephants, even ostriches.

Master Kanazawa
As he explains it, he exchanges energy with the animals, and then they go to sleep. As simple as that.

Featured in an episode of the television program, ‘Stan Lee’s Superhumans,’ Master Kanzawa is seen visiting an alpaca ranch in California, where he baffles ranch owner Cecilia Secka by subduing an entire herd of her alpacas. In addition to this remarkable demonstration, a subsequent message on the ranch’s website notes that after the filming, Master Kanzawa did some extraordinary healing work to an injured animal:

“What he did after the filming though was most extraordinary as he worked with one of my female alpacas who that same morning was behaving very strangely. She was almost paralyzed in her hind legs and hips as well as not being able to eat as if her jaw was paralyzed. I gave her some Banamine hopeing that would help. As the day went on she showed no improvement. I told Mr. Sensei about her and at the end of the day he went to see her. She was still not able to eat. Mr. Sensei started working on her, standing 4-5 feet away from her, just using his mind and Chi power. We gradually started seing improvement and after about 20 minutes she was fully restored, moving and eating totally normally. She has never had the symptoms again!” [Sweet Water Alpaca Ranch]

Further in the video presentation, Master Kanzawa is seen working with a herd of buffalo, an unapproachably large and dangerous animal. As witness to this, a veterinarian familiar with buffalo was present, and was, of course, flabbergasted by what the chi master was able to do with these enormous beasts.

The comments between the host and the veterinarian after Master Kanzawa subdues the buffalo get right to the heart of the blind spot in Western science, showing how there is simply no room in the current paradigm for this ancient wisdom.

Host: “Doctor, there any way to explain this in the realm of science?

Veterinarian: “Not in the medicine I know.”

Life is connected in ways more subtle than most of us can ordinarily sense, and Western science is way behind the curve when it comes to understanding the depth of this connection. The energy body is one of our innate super powers, and although abilities like this are typically relegated to freak show media in this rigidly thought-controlled world we live in, we all have the ability to cultivate and develop the energy body.

Many modern day chi masters are revealing their secrets to the world, and while it may seem like Master Kanzawa’s powers are super-human, any one can train to develop awareness and mastery of this subtle energy.

Watch the demonstration of Master Kanzawa’s extraordinary ablities for yourself in the videos below:

For a further demonstration, take a look at this video from Japanese television, showing Master Sensei working with a small herd of deer, an ostrich, and many smaller animals, all of which appear to be calmed and hypnotized by his presence and energy.

Four Masters of Chi Reveal Their Secrets

Shifu Yan Lei Art
Shifu Yan Lei

Of all the ideas and practices available to us for finding good health, peace of mind and happiness in this crazy world, the Chinese and Daoist internal arts of Tai Chi, Qi Gong and energy meditation are unrivaled in their value in improving overall wellness and catalyzing personal transformation.

Masters of Chi are the stuff of legend, capable of performing amazing feats of healing, concentration, and strength, and their secrets are no longer so closely guarded in the Shaolin temples of China. Many dedicated teachers of these arts have spread throughout the world and share their expertise freely with Westerners, making their teachings available in print and in video, offering an immense body of knowledge and instruction on these practical transformative arts.

Referred to as ‘internal arts’ because they emphasize the inward direction of intention for healing, energy cultivation and physical development, there are an infinite number of exercises, techniques and teachings available for study.

In my personal journey of transformation and self-healing I have found tremendous benefit in many of the exercises, meditations and ideas offered by the 4 modern masters of Chi mentioned below. Their teachings encompass a wide variety of physical movements, forms, meditations, breathing exercises and invocations, and include gentle restorative techniques as well as rigorous and physically strenuous practices. Within their collection of written and recorded materials, they have revealed their secrets for the benefit of anyone.

1. Dr. Yang, Jing-Wing

Dr. Yang is the author of many books and videos including the excellent work, The Root of Chinese Qi Gong: Secrets of Health, Longevity & EnlightenmentHe is the founder of YMAA, an association dedicated to preserving traditional Chines Kung Fu and Qi Gong, which publishes books and training materials, and offers advanced Kung Fu training programs at their retreat center in Northern California, including his 10 year program for serious students.

Dr. Yang has produced an impressive collection of instructional videos, including Simple Qi Gong: Exercises for Back Pain which is hands down the most effective program for treating chronic back pain, especially lower back pain, that I have ever come across.

Other excellent training videos by Dr. Yang include his standing and seated series of gentle moving meditations, Qi Gong: The Eight Pieces of Brocade, which is perfect for sunrise and sunset meditations. His DVD series Tai Chi for Beginners with Master Yang is an excellent introduction to Tai Chi, and Five Animal Sports Qi Gong is an outstanding long form qi gong sequence that includes the traditional five element healing sounds from Chinese medicine.

His YouTube channel features segments from his many lectures and instructional presentations and for the more hardcore student out there, Dr. Yang’s traditional Kung Fu training videos are packed with tons exercises and drills to supplement any serious martial arts practice.

Similar to Yoga in some ways, Master Ni’s series of Taoist internal arts includes the book and practice, Attune Your Body With Dao-In, a series of invocations, gentle physical exercises, postures and different meditations. I practice this series 3-4 times a week early in the morning as the sun rises, to great benefit.

The simple meditation principles in Mantak Chia’s book Awaken Healing Energy Through The Tao: The Taoist Secret of Circulating Internal Power, were very effective for me in awakening my powers of concentration and my ability to become sensitive to the subtle energies which enliven the universe in and around us. The techniques found in Iron Shirt Chi Kung are an example of some of the advanced esoteric trainings he offers, and his book Chi Self-Massage: The Taiost Way of Rejuvenation is one his most important healing techniques.

Many of Mantak Chia’s lectures and instructions can also be found on YouTube.

Conclusion

In my continuing journey for health and happiness, the internal arts are a major part of my daily practices in cultivating peace, wellness and abundant positive energy.

Certainly there are many more accomplished teachers that could and should be mentioned here, but these are four that have found me somehow and I regularly incorporate many of their techniques into my personal daily practice. Studying in person with a master is preferred, however, with the instruction and tools made available by these 4 masters and others, anyone practically anywhere can begin to integrate these profound healing arts into their daily life.

The ‘Field of Elixir’ Is More Important to Spirituality Than the Pineal Gland

The ‘Field of Elixir’ Is More Important to Spirituality Than the Pineal Gland

Nebular Goddess by R. Ayana

Energy Secrets Super Human ChiIt is commonly held that the pineal gland is the ‘seat of the soul,’ a meta-physical portal of sorts that is believed to play an important role in conscious awareness and spiritual experience. Certain practices and supplements may assist in improving the function of the pineal gland, however, by training the more fundamental energy centers of the body, the Dan Tien, one can more quickly achieve heightened spiritual awareness, and over time a much more powerful and deeper sense of intuition and connectedness than by concentrating on the pineal gland alone.

This is the secret that the great masters of Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Qi Gong have known for centuries. This is the key to elevated consciousness, to super-human strength, to unbending will-power and extreme longevity.

At its core, all matter is made up of energy in motion, the human body being no different. We are energetic beings, sensitive to the currents around us, with the capacity to expend energy and to draw energy from nature, from other beings, and from food and air.

People can give off positive, confident ‘vibes,’ and at other times radiate negative energy, both of which can be contagious, affecting the mood and energy level of others. Some people just seem more magnetic, alive, aware and more radiant than others do, for example, Bruce Lee. Practices of cultivating Dan Tien can develop one’s ability to gather, build, store, and more effectively use personal energy, or Qi, transforming themselves into the kind of person with abundant and infectious positive Qi. The elixir of life.

Dan Tien – Literally, “Field of Elixir.” Locations in the body which are able to store and generate Qi (elixir) in the body. The Upper, Middle and Lower Dan Tien are located, respectively, between the eyebrows, at the solar plexus, and a few inches below the navel. [Dr. Yang, The Root of Chinese Qigong: Secrets of Health, Longevity, & Enlightenment]

Lower Dan Tien is the base foundation of the body’s energy structure, acting as the root, or grounding center, as well as being the physical center of the human body. When attention is focused here, it is easy to recognize a concentration of energy. Practices for building and refining the energy of Lower Dan Tien may include physical exercises, guided meditations, breathing exercises, and visualizations, as well as more extreme practices.

Dan Tien - 3 CentersWhen the energy in Lower Dan Tien is strong, the person is vibrant, in good health, full with energy and stamina, and physically robust. If the person is deficient here, then they will be weak, feeble, and of ill-constitution. A simple analogy is that of a battery, or re-chargeable energy source for your body:

“A dantian is simply an energy center. Think of the battery you have in your cell phone. Most of us charge our phones overnight so when we wake the next morning, we have a phone that can get us through our busy day. The dantians, much like that battery, have the potential for robust power that can be utilized for a variety of activities. Conversely, by the end of the day, you are scrambling around for your charger because you have only 2% on your phone and, God forbid, you miss the next important Facebook post. The same is true for the energy centers in the body.” [Breaking Muscle]

This center of the body is considered by both energy healers and scientists alike to be the center of a ‘second’ human brain, or ‘brain in the gut.’ It is a concentration of components of the nervous system that resembles the brain, and technically known as the enteric nervous system, but more closely linked to emotional intelligence, rather than thought processing.

“A deeper understanding of this mass of neural tissue, filled with important neurotransmitters, is revealing that it does much more than merely handle digestion or inflict the occasional nervous pang. The little brain in our innards, in connection with the big one in our skulls, partly determines our mental state and plays key roles in certain diseases throughout the body.” [Scientific American]

The phenomenal thing about training Dan Tien is that truly anyone can do it, and anyone can achieve quick results even without access to a school or formal program. Many of the most profound practices are also the most gentle, and a number of Chi masters have revealed their secrets in books, videos, and instructional seminars, so that nowadays, formerly esoteric knowledge of the body, mind and spirit is available to all who seek it. There are many excellent free training videos available online, and with these resources you are equipped to take control of your own health and spiritual development.

A small amount of dedication and self-discipline can quickly lead to big gains in wellness and spiritual awareness with this type of training. When seeking a better understanding of life and our purpose in it, if we first concentrate on developing the foundation of the energetic body, rather than on more esoteric concepts like the pineal gland, then big changes in psyche and spiritual aptitude come quickly and with increasing ease, and are more likely to persist and become a part of ordinary awareness.

Training Dan Tien, starting with Lower Dan Tien, is the most effective means of refining your will power, concentration, and spiritual connection. For a simple place to start, take a look at the following resources. The first video is a very beneficial exercise which involves beating and drumming Qi, as you’ll see:

The next short training video emphasizes a relaxing and energizing swaying movement which is terrific as a starting point to developing sensitivity to the energy flow and inherent power in the area of Lower Dan Tien. Here are some guidelines to consider:

“As with any Qigong work, focused intention is the great difference maker when we are talking about effectiveness. My suggested repetition range would be between fifty to 200 cycles. The good news is fifty repetitions of the swaying Qigong exercise can take less than ninety seconds. And 200 repetitions takes perhaps a little more than five minutes. These exercises can be overdone, though, so please stay within the confines of the recommendations presented in the videos.” [Breaking Muscle]
