Pine Gap: Maintaining the Rage

Pine Gap - Maintaining the Rage

http://carnogold.wikispaces.com/file/view/whitlam-steps.jpg/36622745/whitlam-steps.jpg

Prime minister Gough Whitlam

I'm not amazed that many have forgotten (or never knew) what the events of November 11th, 1975 were all about in Australia - and how MI6 and US 'intelligence' admitted to being behind the bloodless coup that terminated the revolutionary Whitlam Government. It was a better, more bloodless version of what had happened in Chile two years earlier - when Allende was killed and replaced by Pinochet in a very different military coup in a demographically very similar nation of middle class shopkeepers.

See for instance http://www.cia.com.au/vic/cia.60min.txt for an insight or two – if you’re game.

http://www.stumpdinpdx.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/whitlam.png

Prime Minister Whitlam, whose new government had transformed the Australian mindscape in the three short years since its election after a generation of unchallenged conservative rule, was a threat to the status quo on a number of fronts;  he’d ended Australia’s involvement in Vietnam and pardoned all the myriad draft dodgers, created a universal free health system, enacted equal rights and pay for women, extended welfare to single mothers – and questioned the US ‘right’ to maintain bases on Australian soil, which were effectively sovereign US territory… like Pine Gap, the huge ‘facility’ situated above a monumental underground river system west of Alice Springs in the very heart of the continent. The following is by Stan Deyo, excerpted from his 'Cosmic Conspiracy':

“Nestled in a shallow little valley at the southern foot of the McDonnell Ranges about twelve miles by air from the dead centre of Australia is one of the modern wonders of the world. The apparent, surface entrances to this super-technological retreat are are located in the vicinity of 23 degrees 48 minutes south by 133 degrees 43 minutes east. It is one of the top three of several very-secret, U.S. Government-financed 'bases' in Australia…

The Pine Gap facility as it is informally known, is officially called the Joint Defence Space Research Facility;... however, Australians refer to it as "Pine Gap". The Pine Gap facility has had several functions. Its original function was to execute research and development of space defence technology. The primary responsibility for the facility has been controlled by the U.S. Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) located in the U.S. at 1400 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, Virginia 22209, in the Architect Building.”…

“Pine Gap has what is believed to be the deepest and straightest 'waterbore' in Australia drilled beneath it. The bore is at least 28,000 feet deep (5.3 miles).

This bore could also be used as an underground antenna for very low frequency electricity broadcasts. As Pine Gap is supposed to be involved in both upper atmospheric and sub-surface research, it is quite feasible - if for no other reason - that the 'bore antenna' could be used to tune a gigantic 'standing wave' field around the entire planet! Such a system might easily be tuned to frequencies from, say,... 9,000 cycles per second to 14,336 cycles per second - enough to set up a resonating, electric field to an altitude of 250 miles above the earth! However, this possibility will be explored in a bit more detail in Chapter 4 of this section.

It is also rumoured that Pine Gap has a very large nuclear facility used to power its enormous 'transceiver'. Other rumored projects include high-voltage, high-energy plasma accelerators... possibly for use in new methods of power generation, a 'death ray' or plasma cannon, and even specialised power broadcasts to fuel 'electric submarines' as far away as the Indian Ocean... It is almost certain that the earlier version of Pine Gap's very-low-frequency transceiver which is located at the North West Cape near Exmouth Bay in Australia was and still is used to transmit very powerful undersea electric currents to U.S. submarines which trail long antennae behind them. It is also known that electricity transmitted in this way can be 'strong' enough to recharge onboard 'high-voltage batteries' known as 'plasma-dynamic storage cells'.

The Nation Review - a national Australian newspaper - had some interesting things to say about Pine Gap in their May 17-23 issue of 1974:

"The Pine Gap research facility near Alice Springs has managed to keep secret, until now, one of the most unbelievable research projects in the world."

"The United States has been carrying out continuous research into electromagnetic propulsion (EMP for short) at Pine Gap since it was established in 1966."

"...Nixon (former U.S. President) last year announced 1975 as a target date for the completion of the project. At that time it was to relieve the petrol crisis."

"I understand that last minute flaws in the design and operation of the EMP vehicles have probably put the completion dale back by four years." (author's note:... that means a 1978-1979 public release date...).

"...Security aspects of the EMP project have included hypnotic and post hypnotic keys implanted in personnel prior to their acceptance into the project. It is likely, however, that this technique has been replaced now that it is known that a side effect of LSD and other hallucinogenics is to remove partial hypnosis effects."

This author wrote the Nation Review seeking additional information from the author of the previous article: William H. Martin. A reply was sent by his secretary which sought more information than it gave. Apparently, 'William H. Martin' is a nom de plume. No further dialogue was attempted.

According to several eye-witnesses, white disks about 30 feet in diameter with 'U.S. Air Force' markings have been ferried into Australia inside large, military air transports... which have landed at one or the other of the two airports servicing Pine Gap. Other eye-witness reports have seen these same air transports unloading incredible amounts of modern furniture, food, and other provisions which one would ordinarily expect to see in a very plush hotel. Could it be that nearby to the obvious Pine Gap facility in an underground, man-made city of multiple levels is... the real 'Pine Gap facility'...? Could it be that Pine Gap is also a so-called 'bolt hole' to be used to shelter key U.S. personnel in the event of a natural weather catastrophe or a full-scale nuclear attack codenamed Noah's Ark?... One does wonder...”

Killing Water In the Driest Continent

Killing Water In the Driest Continent

Where Your Water’s Going

photo

The rainforest recovers well, here. In ten thousand years it may be as great and diverse as it was a hundred years ago.

A few kilometres upstream there’s a grassy moonscape, a great gap visible from space that separates those of us regenerating the land, and the steep, deep, untrammeled seed and water source at the head of the gorge country that’s now a protected nature reserve.

The great gap is a vast, treeless rolling hillscape, stripped bare by two typical Australian ‘beef farmers’ who breed the horned beasts that other primates slaughter and eat. One cow to each hectare - more than five thousand species of plants and animals once lived on each hectare here.

The Sun dries out the pristine water flowing from the rainforest and the bubbling stream retreats beneath the hot, exposed rocks, hiding from the castrated steers that strip and compact the land, collapsing the river banks and eating and trampling each seedling tree as it erupts from the earth. Standard hydrology holds that 45% of water losses from streams is due to evaporation – sunlight and wind striking hard after the felling of the protective strip of trees which lines (or lined) all healthy watercourses.

Newer settlers can’t understand how the pioneering forefathers of these ranchers were able to ‘clear’ such huge swathes of land with handsaws and bullock teams while raising families and surviving out of touch with civilization, as their grandchildren claim. Another story is told by the local Aboriginal tribes, whose grandparents were kept as slave labour by the first British settlers. They were allowed to stay in bark huts on what had been their own land and they were often paid - in tea in sugar – to destroy the trees of their millennial ancestors with axe and fire. Or they could face the gun. In other places they used convicts.

It’s been illegal since the 1840s to cut a tree or shrub within a chain’s length (22 yards, 66 feet) of the upper bank of any creek, permanent or temporary, on this colonised continent. Many other nations have equally enlightened laws. A swift glance almost anywhere will show you the result of the greedy breaking of these laws, as the pioneers and their descendants have scrabbled for every bit of grass at the expense of everything else. Deep navigable rivers have become shallow streams full of silt and rocks fallen from the banks and denuded hillsides, driving the living water underground.

It’s obvious what’s happening. A glance around the Earth’s vanished civilizations shows that most of them made the same mistakes we really could be learning from.

Today the official ‘filter strip’ on private lands is 20 metres; usually wider on public land. Yet still most farmers and agribusinesses destroy the heritage of all, our own lifeblood – or, if you prefer, natural capital as the soil and water disappears.

While handfuls of dedicated souls slowly replant these tiny verges of riverside land, venal money-grubbers destroy hundreds of thousands of hectares of trees each year in this land, expecting it to grow back even though the soil is being washed out to sea, leaving the dried clay and salt pans of a dead future. Any regrowth on these soil-stripped lands will be weaker, smaller and less resilient in the climate catastrophes of the coming decades. As we replant, a hundred saplings do not really replace a single forest giant in biomass or water and oxygen production – yet. Regrowth sucks water from the ground – old growth forests not only store it, but actually produce more water for the biosphere – from the atmosphere and from deeper water reservoirs. It was only this year that scientific verification arrived that confirmed the obvious – that trees make rain.

As global temperatures rise, much of the planet teeters on the brink of becoming a chaotic desert of rock, clay and sand.

And still we optimists spend much of our time planting rare and wondrous forests, trees whose life spans are measured in millennia. Start planting your future now, wherever you are. And have a good look at your water catchment using Google Earth! –  http://earth.google.com/

Understanding Free Energy

Understanding Free Energy

photo

When singing in the shower, you may notice that one note returns to your ears much louder than the rest - if you sing the 'right' note - the frequency which matches the resonant cavity of the cubicle your sound generation system (voice) is enclosed within.

Resonance returns the note at a higher volume despite being sung at the same level.

The same can be made to occur using electromagnetic systems, returning more power to the system than is used to generate the resonance. It's simply a matter of finding or creating a resonant cavity or system and tuning it correctly...

Another subset of systems works using applications of the following simple principle:

"You can't tap the spin but you can tap the wobble."

When any object spins - a gyroscope, a planet, an atom, a Bose-Einstein condensate  - it wobbles while it spins. You can't, of course, take more energy out of a spinning object than you put into it - but you can tap the wobble for free - relatively speaking.

For instance, a switch which is activated by a gyroscope as its precessional wobble moves in one direction and be released when it moves in the other.

Veins of the Goddess

Veins of the Goddess

Our rivers once ran cool and deep, shaded and nurtured by millennial forests and filled with myriad life forms. Each giant forest tree was a world in itself. They entered and left the earth, sea and sky in a vast cycle of the ever-mutable menstruum of life itself, pervading the planet and even escaping into the space surrounding the water-coated orb. The liquid membrane, huge and fragile, interpenetrating matter – the veil of Isis veiled.

Now humans have largely forgotten their heritage as the prime mates of Gaia/Geb, thumb-wielding, brain-bowed beasts ennobled by a deep understanding of their world and matrix, the many-stranded web of life. Now they’ve torn the veil, ripped the weave in attempts to know the nature of nature itself. They strip away Her hair, Her skin, the elements themselves, to become little gods of knowledge and death, to overcome their illusory fears of ends, beginnings and changes as their bold, fearful leaders and priests enact catastrophe, their followers fertilising the deserts they create with their own flesh, blood and ashes.

Today almost all the rivers are ruined, polluted drains. The waters are warm and as shallow as the gene pool that surrounds them.

Yet it’s not too late to turn it all around, to survive and thrive if we ally ourselves with our true friends – plants, animals, soil and water. Nature is our only ally, our womb, performance stage and graffiti-graven grave. Nature R us.

Nature exists even in the loud, frenzied, polluted tumours that are today’s cities, where most primates live. In the hearts of the people and all around, nature and consciousness pour into and through the matter of the world, streaming through the shared consciousness of all living beings.

If what you do – your work or play – plunders the planet, then do something else – or nothing at all – today. And tomorrow. Look around you, now, with a sense of immanence and you’ll find a new reality waiting for you. Enter it with hope and you’ll find that the world is MINDSTUFF that’s shaped by your hopes (or fears, if you prefer) – and that your true family, the Sun, the Moon, the Earth and stars, are always looking out for you. If you use your imagination you will surprise yourself.

You can still live in paradise on Earth, by healing yourself, those around you and the planet, with a word, a touch, a deed.

All you need do is be aware of everything you eat, drink, think, say and do.

Be Here Now. It’s the best and only place to be.

Turn On, Tune In, Opt Out

Pot Smoking Not a Major Lung Cancer Threat: THC Stops Cancers

Pot Smoking Not a Major Lung Cancer Threat: THC Stops Cancers

By Amy Norton (Reuters Health)

Although both marijuana and tobacco smoke are packed with cancer-causing chemicals, other qualities of marijuana seem to keep it from promoting lung cancer, according to a new report.

The difference rests in the often opposing actions of the nicotine in tobacco and the active ingredient, THC, in marijuana, says Dr. Robert Melamede of the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
He reviewed the scientific evidence supporting this contention in a recent issue of Harm Reduction Journal.

Whereas nicotine has several effects that promote lung and other types of cancer, THC acts in ways that counter the cancer-causing chemicals in marijuana smoke, Melamede explained in an interview with Reuters Health.

"THC turns down the carcinogenic potential," he said.

For example, lab research indicates that nicotine activates a body enzyme that converts certain chemicals in both tobacco and marijuana smoke into cancer-promoting form. In contrast, studies in mice suggest that THC blocks this enzyme activity.

Another key difference, Melamede said, is in the immune system effects of tobacco and marijuana. Smoke sends irritants into the respiratory system that trigger an immune-regulated inflammatory response, which involves the generation of potentially cell-damaging substances called free radicals. These particles are believed to contribute to a range of diseases, including cancer.

But cannabinoids -- both those found in marijuana and the versions found naturally in the body -- have been shown to dial down this inflammatory response, Melamede explained.

Another difference between tobacco and marijuana smoking, he said, has to do with cells that line the respiratory tract. While these cells have receptors that act as docks for nicotine, similar receptors for THC and other cannabinoids have not been found.

Nicotine, Melamede said, appears to keep these cells from committing "suicide" when they are genetically damaged, by smoking, for instance. When such cells do not kill themselves off, they are free to progress into tumors.

THC, however, does not appear to act this way in the respiratory tract -- though, in the brain, where there are cannabinoid receptors, it may have the beneficial effect of protecting cells from death when they are damaged from an injury or stroke, according to Melamede.

All of this, he said, fits in with population studies that have failed to link marijuana smoking with a higher risk of lung cancer -- though there is evidence that pot users have more respiratory problems, such as chronic cough and frequent respiratory infections.

If marijuana does not promote lung cancer, that could factor into the ongoing debate over so-called medical marijuana. Melamede said he believes "marijuana has loads of medicinal value," for everything from multiple sclerosis, to the chronic pain of arthritis, to nausea caused by cancer treatment.

U.S. government officials, however, maintain that the evidence for medical marijuana is not there. Ten states allow people to use marijuana with a doctor's prescription, but the Supreme Court has ruled that federal law trumps state law.
