Researchers Discover That Memories Can Be Passed Down
Through Changes in Our DNA
by Arjun Walia
Epigenetics is
a branch of biology which studies how the development and
functioning of biological systems are influenced by forces that
operate outside of the DNA sequence. Within the past few years alone, remarkable
discoveries have been made which demonstrate that our thoughts,
emotions, feelings, and overall perception of the world/environment around us
can actually have physical/biological effects on our DNA.
Adding
further complexity to our often mystifying genetic code, research from Emory
University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia has shown that it’s possible
for information to be inherited biologically through our DNA. More
specifically, their research shows that behaviour can be affected by
events in previous generations which have been passed on through a form of
genetic memory.
Published
a couple of years ago in the journal Nature Neuroscience, the findings of this
study corroborates with other recent research in the field.(source)(source)
The
study found that mice can pass on learned information about traumatic or
stressful experiences to subsequent generations — in this case, the smell of a
cherry blossom. These results could explain why people suffer from phobias, or
why certain behaviours or thoughts are triggered by particular objects or
situations:
From a translational perspective, our results allow
us to appreciate how the experiences of a parent, before even conceiving
offspring, markedly influence both structure and function in the nervous system
of subsequent generations. . . . Such a phenomenon may contribute to the
etiology and potential intergenerational transmission of risk for
neuropsychiatric disorders such as phobias, anxiety and post-traumatic stress
disorder. (source)
As
part of the study, researchers trained mice to fear the smell of cherry
blossom using electric shocks before allowing them to breed. After
this training, they were allowed to mate, and the offspring also showed the
same fearful responses to the odour of the cherry blossom when compared to a
neutral odour (despite never having encountered either before). The
generation after the offspring demonstrated the same behaviour as well,
and these results remained constant even when mice were impregnated
through artificial insemination.
This
suggests that experiences and their effect on our psyche are somehow
transferred from the brain and into the genome, allowing them to be passed
on to later generations.
In
an interview with The
Telegraph, Professor Marcus Pembrey, a paediatric geneticist at
University College London, said the work provided “compelling evidence” for the
biological transmission of memory. (source) He went on to state that:
“It
addresses constitutional fearfulness that is highly relevant to phobias,
anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorders, plus the controversial subject of
transmission of the “memory” of ancestral experience down the generations. . .
. It is high time public health researchers took human transgenerational
responses seriously. . . . I suspect we will not understand the rise in
neuropsychiatric disorders or obesity, diabetes and metabolic disruptions
generally without taking a multigenerational approach.” (source)
You Can Change What Has Been ‘Encoded’ Into Your DNA
Researchers
at the Institute of HeartMath, an internationally recognized non-profit scientific
research center, have found that feelings of love, appreciation, anger, and
anxiety can also influence the outcomes of each individual’s DNA blueprint.
For
example, in a study titled “Modulation of DNA Conformation By Heart-Focused
Intention,” physical
aspects of DNA strands were shown to be influenced by human intention:
“The results
provide experimental evidence to support the hypothesis that aspects of the DNA
molecule can be altered through intentionality. . . . The data indicate that
when individuals are in a heart-focused, loving state and in a more cohernent
mode of physiological functioning, they have a greater ability to alter the
conformation of DNA. Individuals capable of generating high ratios of heart
coherence were able to alter DNA conformation according to their intention. . .
. Control group participants showed low ratios of heart coherence and were
unable to intentionally alter the conformation of DNA.: (source)
The
theory of genetic determinism — the idea that our lives are controlled by a
genetic code — has dominated this field for years. Leading developmental
biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton, Ph.D, explains:
“This kind
of belief system provides a visual picture of people being victims: If the
genes control our life function, then our lives are being controlled
by things outside of our ability to change them. This leads to victimization
that the illnesses and diseases that run in families are propagated through the
passing of genes associated with those attributes. Laboratory
evidence shows this is not true.” (source)
Recently
(and for the first time ever), researchers were able to construct a
gene network which can be controlled by thoughts. Martin Fussenegger,
a professor at ETH Zurich, led the research project which shows the
powerful potential of thought. You can read more about that here.
Neuroplasticity is a
great example of this power, demonstrating how we can change our
genes by changing our thoughts and the way in which we perceive
our environment. The placebo effect is
another great example.
A
2002 article titled “The Emperor’s New Drugs,” published in the American
Psychological Association’s Prevention
& Treatment and conducted by University of Connecticut psychology
professor Irving Kirsch, made some more shocking discoveries about the power of
the mind.(source)(source) He found that 80 perecent of
the effect of antidepressants, as measured in clinical trials, could be
attributed to the placebo effect. This professor even had to file a Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) request to get information on the clinical trials of the
top antidepressants.
A
Baylor School of Medicine study, published in 2002 in the New England Journal of Medicine, (source) looked at surgery for
patients with severe and debilitating knee pain. Many surgeons know there is no
placebo effect in surgery, or at least believe this to be true, yet this study
yielded surprising results to the contrary. Patients were divided into three
groups. For one group, damaged knee cartilage was shaved off by the
surgeons. For the second group, surgeons flushed out the knee joint,
removing all of the material believed to be causing inflammation.
Both
of these processes are the standard surgeries performed on people who have
severe arthritic knees. The third group received a “fake” surgery; the patients
were only sedated and then told they had received surgery. In
reality, doctors simply made the incisions and splashed salt water on the knee
as they would in normal surgery, then sewed up the incisions. All three groups
went through the same rehabilitation process, and the results were astonishing.
The placebo group improved just as much as the other two.
The
list of examples showing the potential power of our minds is
extensive. Your genes and DNA are not set in stone, you have the power to
change your biology with belief.

Moving Forward
“Consciousness Creates Reality”:
Physicists Admit the Universe is Immaterial, Mental & Spiritual
“Consciousness
creates reality,” a statement that has gained a lot of attention across various
alternative media outlets around the world. Make no mistake, consciousness has been
(for quite some time) studied by numerous scientists, especially in its
relation to quantum physics and how it might be correlated with the nature of
our reality.
What
is consciousness? Consciousness includes a number of things. It’s how we
perceive our world, our thoughts, being aware, our intentions and more.
“Looking for
consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.”
– Nasseim Haramein,
director of research for the Resonance Project
“I regard
consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness.
We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything
that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.”
–
Max
Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, which won him
the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918
“It was not
possible to formulate the laws of quantum mechanics in a fully consistent way
without reference to consciousness.”
- Eugene Wigner, theoretical physicist
and mathematician. He received a share of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1963
The
statement that “consciousness creates reality” comes with a number of different
questions. Does this mean we as individuals (and on a collective level as one
human race) can shape and create whatever reality we’d like for ourselves? Does
it mean we can manifest a certain lifestyle, and attract certain experiences?
Does it happen instantly? Does it take time? How do we do it?
Although
we might not be able to answer these questions with absolute scientific
certainty, we do know that yes, a correlation between consciousness and our
physical material world does indeed exist in some way, shape or form. The
extent of that correlation (again from a modern day scientific point of view)
is still not well understood, but we know of the correlation, and we know it
must have some sort of significance.
“A
fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer
creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation
of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a
“mental” construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream
of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to
look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer
appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather
hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. Get over it, and
accept the inarguable conclusion. The universe is immaterial-mental and
spiritual.” – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns
Hopkins University ,
- “The Mental Universe” ; Nature 436:29,2005) (source)
The Science Behind The Statement “Consciousness Creates Reality”
The
quantum double slit experiment is a very popular experiment used to examine how
consciousness and our physical material world are intertwined. It is a great
example that documents how factors associated with consciousness and our
physical material world are connected in some way.
One
potential revelation of this experience is that “the observer creates the
reality.” A paper published in the peer-reviewed journal Physics Essays by Dean
Radin, PhD, explains how this experiment has been used multiple times to
explore the role of consciousness in shaping the nature of physical reality. (source)
In
this experiment, a double-slit optical system was used to test the possible
role of consciousness in the collapse of the quantum wave-function. The ratio
of the interference pattern’s double slit spectral power to its single slit
spectral power was predicted to decrease when attention was focused toward the
double slit as compared to away from it. The study found that factors
associated with consciousness “significantly” correlated
in predicted ways with perturbations in the double slit interference
pattern. (source)
“Observation
not only disturbs what has to be measured, they produce it. We compel the
electron to assume a definite position. We ourselves produce the results of the
measurement.” (source)
Although
this is one of the most popular experiments used to posit the connection
between consciousness and physical reality, there are several other
studies that clearly show that consciousness, or factors that are
associated with consciousness are directly correlated with our reality in some
way. A number of experiments in the field of parapsychology have also
demonstrated this.
Sure,
we might not understand the extent of this connection, and in most cases
scientists can’t even explain it. However they are, and have been observed time
and time again.
Below
is a video demonstration from the film “What The Bleep Do We Know.”
Other
examples that we’ve written about are government sponsored psychokinesis
experiments, the global consciousness experiment, intelligence agency remote
viewing experiments, thoughts and intentions altering the structure of water,
the placebo effect, teleportation studies and more. You can find more details
about those specific experiments HERE.
How We Can Incorporate This Information Into Our Lives & Use Consciousness To Transform The World
Change requires action, but the place within which that action comes from is most important.
Modern
day science, especially quantum physics, has been catching up to ancient
mysticism and concepts that are/were so deeply ingrained in various cultures
throughout the ancient world. One great example of this is the fact that
everything is energy , and nothing is solid. You can read more about that here.
“We
are what we think, all that we are arises with our thoughts, with our thoughts
we make the world.”
– Gautama Buddha
“Broadly
speaking, although there are some differences, I think Buddhist philosophy and
Quantum Mechanics can shake hands on their view of the world. We can see in
these great examples the fruits of human thinking. Regardless of the admiration
we feel for these great thinkers, we should not lose sight of the fact that
they were human beings just as we are.”
–
Dalai
Lama (source)
A
great example of quantum physics meeting ancient wisdom is seen in the fact
that Nikola Tesla was influenced by Vedic philosophy when pondering his ideas
of zero point energy. You can read more about that here.
So
why is this relevant? It’s relevant because new physics, as mentioned above, is
pointing to the fact that the observer shapes the reality. The way we think and
perceive could be responsible and play a vital role in the physical
construct we see in front of us.
If
we look at the world and examine it on a collective level, what do we see? How
do we perceive it? Right now, the masses perceive it as being born, going to
school, paying bills, raising a family and finding a “job” within the current
paradigm to support yourself. No judgement here, but many people on the planet
are not resonating with this experience. They want change. We’ve been repeating
and perceiving our reality this way for a very long time, with very little
information about what is really happening on and to our planet. It’s almost
like we are robotic drones that are trained and brainwashed to accept things
the way they are. To not question what is happening in our world and to
continue on with the status quo, only caring for ourselves and our own lives.
As Noam Chomsky would say, our consent has been manufactured. If we continue
down this path and continue to perceive and view reality as “this is just the
way it is,” we will, in essence, prolong that type of existence and experience
for the human race without ever changing it.
In
order to create and manifest a new reality for ourselves, our thought patters
and the way we perceive reality must change. What changes the way we perceive
reality? Information does. When new information emerges it changes the way we
look at things and as a result, our reality changes, and we begin to manifest a
new experience and open our minds to a broader view of reality. Not to say that
we can’t manifest a new physical form in the blink of an eye, and that we are
not capable of doing that, but it appears to be something that takes time,
something gradual, something we don’t quite understand yet.
What’s
also important about teachings from new physics is that, if factors of
consciousness are associated with the creation of our reality, that means
change starts within. It starts with the way in which we are observing the
outer world from our inner world. This touches on the earlier point of how we
perceive our reality. Our perception of the external world might very well be a
reflection of our inner world, our inner state of being. So ask yourself, are
you happy? Are you observing, perceiving and acting from a place of love? From
a place of hate or anger? From a place of peace? All of these factors are
associated with our consciousness, with our observation, the one (or the many)
who are doing the “observing” might play a large role in what type of physical
world the human race manifests for itself, what do you think?
We
are indeed the observers, can we create change and break patterns to open
up new possibilities, change our direction, all through the way in which we
observe ourselves, others and the world around us.
I
believe that the human race is in the process of waking up to a number of
different things, simultaneously. As a result, the way we perceive and
“observe” the world around us (on a mass scale) is starting to drastically
change. So if you want to help change the world, change the way you look
at things, and the things you look at will change.
“Be
the change you want to see in the world.”
– Mahatma Ghandi
“There is nothing new to be discovered in physics now. All that remains is
more and more precise measurement.” This statement (worldview
statement) was by Lord Kelvin in 1900, which was shattered only five years
later when Einstein published his paper on special relativity. The new theories
proposed by Einstein challenged the current (at that time) framework of
understanding. This forced the scientific community to open up to an alternate
view of the true nature of our reality. A great example of how things that once
were regarded as truth have changed.
“Lord Kelvin’s
statements bares with it the voice of paradigms past…We knew that the Earth was
flat, we knew that we were the center of the universe, and we knew that a
manmade heavier than air piece of machinery could not take flight. Through all
stages of human history, intellectual authorities have pronounced their
supremacy by ridiculing or suppressing elements of reality that
simply didn’t fit within the framework of accepted knowledge. Are we
really any different today? Have we really changed our acceptance towards
things that won’t fit the frame? Maybe there are concepts of our reality we
have yet to understand, and if we open our eyes maybe we will see that
something significant has been overlooked.”

From the New Illuminati – http://nexusilluminati.blogspot.com
There are 2 basic choices for an entity, being conscious or unconscious. If we look around us, what do we see? Space, energy, and mass. For instance we see humans (energy) rocks (mass) and space (the largest part of the universe, but largely dismissed as not having life, or dubbed by energy as "dark". I think much confusion comes from confusing the word "conscious" with "consciousness".
ReplyDeleteHow much an individual understands truth relating to physical existence, information gathered and affecting surroundings, both past and present is a level of being conscious as regards to the realm of energy.
On the other hand, consciousness is totally other. Total expanded, prolonged, unimpeded, permeable consciousness is another realm of existence entirely. Space consciousness can not be manipulated by energy. It is a realm that is beyond the physical realm of energy systems, which is where humans reside. We can visit the space realm of consciousness, but alas, we reside in the physical realm of energy. Because of that, each entity is on various levels of consciousness at any given time, and relates to "others",who are likewise on variants of consciousness. Therefore the propensity for pain is always present in the energy realm. As energy, we relate to both space consciousness and mass consciousness, in our attempts to be both mass (unconsciousness) and space (consciousness) at the SAME time. This is done with the system known as a brain in millions of bits per second, similar to the 1,0 of a computer, like rapid still images in a film. This happens so fast, humans have the experience of subjectivity, and this creates what we know as time. That is why we have people who are space-consciousness minded, and then we have the sheeple who relish in remaining asleep (unconscious.
Whenever we attempt to change things, we are dealing in an energy action. The state of unimpeded, totally expanded state of consciousness has no need or desire to change anything. Because each entity in the space realm is totally expanded and enjoys the pleasure of complete agreement with "others". If a field of thought is undesired, an entity in the space realm (sustained consciousness) merely changes thought. It is Paradise, and it is where those who have awakened and chosen expanded consciousness are headed, upon leaving physical systems of the energy realm. Consciousness does not create reality. But being conscious of truth, will affect change, yet it is a result of physical actions on an energetic, physical level. ie. putting discovered information into action, and that is separate from the consciousness realm.
I have long thought that DNA holds emotional memory. I have long thought that our ancestors remembered a global catastrophe, and this anxiety was passed down.I also think that cultures hold memory. That is why it is important to free ourselves from victim/abuser/salvationist religions. If we hook our star to that wagon, we are assuring ourselves another round in the physical realm of energy. Personally, I prefer the prolonged, sustained, ultimate joy of unimpeded consciousness. For both states of consciousness and unconsciousness are pleasurable and enjoy the surroundings of other entities engaged in the pleasure of agreement. It is only in the physical realm of energy, attempting to be both conscious and unconscious at the same time, which causes variants of awareness that creates the propensity for pain. The energy realm is always a choice. If we want the thrills & chills of being an ego in a maze of energy systems, then we will pay the price...in pain. I love New Illuminati.
