Upon learning this, you will think that happened long ago, but no. There is still a place to live, and not say for its scenery, but for their ideals as a society who do not follow the standards to which we are accustomed. In this town there is no money, no religion, no politics. This is truly a paradise to live.
Auroville: Towards a Sustainable Future
This place exists and is called “Auroville”!
It was founded in 1968 and was hailed as an international city by UNESCO, as its inhabitants are over 50 nationalities and different cultures. They coexist without any problem, since they have a political system, have no religion, and on top, do not use money and getting all living through the system of exchanges.
Auroville is located in South India, 150 kilometers from Chennai in Madras.
In this epic city, the buildings are made based on an experimental architecture, as they are constantly changing. This is because these structures seek to optimize the use of renewable energies and their main objective: reuse and recycling.
The person who designed and managed to found this wonderful city was: Mirra Alfassa, better known as “Mother”.
“There should be a place on Earth that no nation could claim as their own; where all human beings of good will who have a sincere aspiration could live freely as citizens of the world, obeying one single authority, that of the supreme truth.
“A place of peace, concord and harmony where all the fighting instinct in man were used exclusively to overcome the cause of their sufferings and miseries, to overcome their weaknesses and ignorance, and to triumph over their limitations and disabilities.
“A place where the needs of the spirit and interest of progress precedence over the satisfaction of desires and passions or the pursuit of pleasure and material enjoyment,” was the idea of Alfassa.
From this hypothesis, we now have this amazing international city.
This city is positioning itself as a model of sustainable eco-city. It is a method developed by the multi-cropping, combining fruit trees, cornfields and orchards, organized into 15 farms, reaching an area of 160 hectares. In this way, they ensure much food, so supply the population.
In these farms work 50 villagers and 300 neighbors, producing 2% of rice and cereals consumed and 50% of vegetables.
Also, the village is also self-sufficient in milk and dairy products, and fruits in season.
Despite not being the only city that takes this model itself is special for receiving protection by UNESCO, and is a clear example of how it will be our way of life in a few more years, when Earth begins to manifest the consequences our mistreatment of her.
Definitely this city is an example, where one of its principles is healthy, both mentally and physical life.

I'm just a bit curious about this system of "exchanges" what if you have nothing to exchange? Really, what if you're disabled and cannot exchange anything? Do you receive nothing?
ReplyDeleteDon't they need a governing body of technical experts who actually build their city? So this has to be some kind of Technocracy system, correct? Paradise and Technocracy, hmmm sounds familiar.
The key to a successful technocracy type system like this is to have an organized group of free energy engineers and technical experts who can agree on the most energy effective and or efficient ways to design and build their entire production and distribution systems for without that, you don't have any sort of sustainable food production system, electrical systems, plumbing systems, waste recycling systems, clothing production systems, structural designs and construction systems, transportations systems, etc.... etc... If this is going to work for the entire world, we need these systems don't we? Unless we go back to the dark ages voluntarily!
We know of disabled and old people who live there very comfortably, and no-one views helping them as 'charity' but as normal life. Everyone has something to contribute.
DeleteNo-one needs any 'governing body of technical experts' for anything. Any governing technocracy would swiftly bemome another oligarchy, with self-styled 'xperts' from ivory towers (or engineering workshops) attempting to control everyone else - of course.

We already have a system of exchanges, it's called the monetary system, or do they really just barter, with things they find laying around on the ground?
ReplyDeleteReally, why do we need to exchange anything as we currently have the technology to do away with our labor and or toil as fully automated machines now have the capacity to create vast abundances of all that we require to sustain our lives as we free up our time to attain a reality based education or any other joyful endeavor we can think of in harmonious balance with natures laws.
What this community is is an isolated bubble that cannot include all people in the world unless we compromise our current ability and or technological know how to provide for everyone, of you have a religion, you must not openly worship your God, or you'll be ostracized from the group think program.... so the outcasts will have to leave the bubble and fend for themselves, correct?

DeleteIf you still believe in Dog by the time you're an adult you've failed the intelligence test and your inherent elitism - as evinced by belief in these death cult programs which 'guarantee' that only their followers will have 'eternal life' and everyone else is damned - automatically makes you unfit for the company of the truly blessed 'unfaithful'.
How about not screwing with any religious beliefs, give people their natural born freedom of expression, but simply don't allow their beliefs to interfere with the fact based production and distribution system. Let the technical experts utilize their knowledge of FREE ENERGY and how it can benefit ALL in the most effective and or efficient ways known to man. Do this and we will have paradise for everyone on earth!
